The presentation includes UX observations based on universal UX patterns and general UX laws and on-page analysis via GA and VWO, which examines engagement depth, churn/abandonment rates, visitor numbers, and CVR from heat mapping. The purpose was to highlight the insights gathered from internal stakeholders to optimise this initial part of the WF project.
The Interaction Flow (IXF) for BL begins with their sign-up on the F4S website, followed by receiving a confirmation email to verify their account. Once verified, their account is linked to the WF platform, allowing young people to apply for work experience opportunities. This process includes data-driven optimisations identified through VWO analysis to enhance UX and streamline the onboarding process. For a detailed view, see the large version of the IXF diagram.
I developed a comprehensive triple-user journey for BL's, YP seeking work experience, and Educators. This journey outlines the actions and communications at each stage, ensuring a seamless experience for all users. It highlights key interactions from sign-up to ongoing engagement, aiding the development of the Workfinder app and identifying necessary adjustments in the F4S system to enhance the user experience for young people. For a detailed view, see the large version of the user journey diagram.
Small excerpt of piece of UI work to enable the YP to specifiy the work experience date window and daily frequency.
From splash screens to school selection, users can search for companies on the map landing page. The goal was to have the YP get directly to searching for work experience companies as quickly as possible. The YP does not need to register or create a profile until they are ready to apply.
This user flow shows the journey of adding a user profile from the side-menu nav to empty states to the completed screens.
This user flow highlights unique, bespoke calendar date pickers and 'time-period-day' daily work experience selectors.
YP required the ability to add a voucher for free work experience which were allocated based on available bursaries.
A work placement certificate is issued to the YP upon successful completion of the WEX.
